SCHOOL kids have been banned from singing a song about a drunken gran being killed by Santa’s reindeer — after ONE parent complained.
Teachers wanted to feature the 1970s US novelty hit Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer in the Christmas concert.
But a mum claimed the lyrics were too upsetting for the seven-year-olds.
Sam Thompson, head of Badsley Moor Lane Junior School in Rotherham, South Yorks, said: “The children agreed it would be a fun song to learn but following the complaint we have decided to remove it.”
The song, written by Randy Brooks, tells how the gran staggers out into the snow after drinking too much eggnog.
