CRESTVIEW -- Northwood Elementary School was put on lock-down after it was reported that a student was armed Monday afternoon, according to police.

About 1:45 p.m. Crestview police officers were notified that a student was thought to be armed at the school and that school officials had already initiated a precautionary lock-down procedure.

When officers arrived it was quickly determined that the student did not have a weapon, but had a marker concealed in their clothing.

"At no point was there any danger to any of the students or any personnel," Police Lt. Andrew Schneider said in a news release.

The lock-down was cancelled shortly after and school resumed normal operations.

wonder if they "drew" their guns on the student
