A PAIR of twins who work in a primary school spend their evenings body-slamming their opposition - in a second career as professional wrestlers.
Lucy and Kelly Knott, both 24, discovered the sport age 12, and took it up at 16, quickly establishing a reputation as tough customers.
Together, the 5ft 3in pair are known as tag team duo The Blossom Twins, and have held title belts as their lycra-clad alter-egos.

But by day the sisters work as teaching assistants at St Winifred’s RC Primary School in their home town of Stockport, Cheshire - the same school the girls attended as youngsters.
Kelly - who wrestles under the name Holly - said: “We used to love watching wrestling with our brother when we were younger and we decided together it was what we wanted to do.
“Since then we have lived and breathed wrestling whenever we can. We really are living the dream - to be able to teach while wrestling is incredible.”

And Lucy - who uses the name Hannah in the ring - told how the sisters' close bond makes them more effective in the ring, saying: “As twins we’re definitely at an advantage as a tag team.
“We’re together all the time so we know each other inside out. We’re definitely both on the same page.
“It helps when we face opponents that we know what the other has planned.”
And despite their odd choice of careers, the girls say their teaching colleagues have been very supportive of their wrestling antics.

Lucy said: “We’re doing something exciting and different and people love and support that. And it’s put the school on the map.”
Kelly said: “Me and Hannah are both really girly. When we go out and we’re wearing dresses and make-up, the people we meet are always amazed when they find out that we’re wrestlers.
“Most people find it really interesting and want to hear all about it.”

And the Blossom Twins are now preparing to appear on talent show TNA British Boot Camp, bidding for the chance to win a place on the Total Nonstop Action Wresting roster.
Lucy said: “Boot Camp is the chance of a lifetime. Growing up we were huge fans of the Hardy Boyz and got to meet Jeff Hardy as part of the show.
“I can’t even tell you how amazing it felt, but it put it into perspective how far we’ve come.”

Kelly said: “Sometimes we forget we’re going to be on TV and our friends have to remind us.
“But it’s a great opportunity to meet new people and get some new fans. We have a special relationship with our followers. We take cupcakes to all our shows to give out.
“It puts a little bit of who we are into it.”
