Hey, I'm just wondering what your views are on vits & supplements. What do you take?

Here in the UK we get very little sun exposure so I take a vitamin D3 tablet and usually load up on vitamin C during the winter. I'm also thinking about a magnesium & calcium supplement for bone health.

I try to source all of my vitamin and mineral requirements from diet alone but it is not always easy to maintain the RDA/RDI.

I only take one of these a day. Gives me about 20-55% of the essentials and I get the rest from diet.

I take D3 as well. I get enough sun exposure, but it's supposed to help with depression and inflammation.
I just bought some CLA today because it helps with muscle development, and I'm going to have to start some kind of exercise program to shed the weight I've gained in the last few months. Plus the fact that I'm completely out of shape.
I really need to take calcium, but the pills are so big to swallow, or either so nasty to chew. I'm lactose intolerant, so drinking milk is a problem. I'll figure something out.

I definitely agree with you regarding the size of the calcium tablets. I choked on one before but luckily spat it out. :pale:

Good call.. Doctors have proven no added benefit from supplements.. There is speculation that some of these supplements may actually be harming people.

If you find a better way to take calcium, please let me know.

There are lots of non dairy calcium sources found in everyday diet.. Greens are about 200 mg per 1/2 cup serving..
