A LOT of foreclosed properties are trashed...

We are going to one Sunday to clean the lot where a bunch of Asians were trying to recreate a rice paddy in their front yard.

Not only trashed, now they are ripping out all the copper pipes to sell as scrap.

These deadbeats lived on the corner lot entrance to our neighborhood.. We rejoiced when they got foreclosed on..

But do they have the "pungent scent of cat pee pervading the property"?

I havent been in the house yet, but I would not be surprised at all... It's a common smell really..

These are the best investor properties because people get freaked out by a bad smell. :makesoffer:

I'd be more worried about the mold and how much of the interior of the house needs to be gutted.

Yeah, that would have to be looked at, but the more problems you can chalk up the better deal you can get. Even minor mold will freak people out because they have feared everyone into thinking it will kill generations of your family ;)

It's a short sale and the price listed for it was $169K and like the listing above says, that's as low as it can go.

In a pissy moldy house Id expect a sheetrock removal and floor sand as a worse case. Spend 50 to make a 100.
