Several Wyoming lawmakers are proposing legislation designed to protect gun-owners from any potential federal firearm ban. The “Firearms Protection Act” bill, introduced this week, would make any federal law banning semi-automatic firearms or limiting the size of gun magazines unenforceable within the state’s boundaries.

Anyone trying to enforce a federal gun ban could face felony charges under the proposal. It also includes a provision allowing the Wyoming Attorney General’s office to defend any state resident against any federal firearm ban.

I thought it was always

Federal > State

In terms of power.

Like a state can legalise cannabis but the feds can still come and confiscate it.

The 2nd Amendment trumps the Federal Government. This would be an additional law on top of the 2nd Amendment in Wyoming.

There is no Amendment that says weed is legal. Big difference.

Its Amendment 420

All of the powers not enumerated in the bill of rights (and subsequent amendments) are purview of the individual states. If the federal government goes beyond its reach (imagine that, huh) then it can be sued and it goes to the courts (where the courts will follow the constitution, right? hah...yyyyyyeah.)

Its Amendment 420

They were state amendments to the state constitutions and they are basically worthless. The only document that matters when dealing with the federal government is the US Constitution.

at least in theory, assuming they follow it, care what it says.

Two stories that will never see the light of day. Thank you liberal media.

DALLAS — A Dallas homeowner said she opened fire on three intruders early Saturday morning, killing one of them and wounding another.

According to a police report, the 50-year-old woman came home to her residence in the 400 block of Bolero Avenue to find the front door had been kicked in. She observed one suspect inside.

Investigators said the homeowner got a handgun from her car and started shooting when two of the suspects exited the front door and a third jumped out of a bedroom window.

One of the intruders was dead at the scene. Police identified him as 19-year-old Larry Jurvotaie Williams

On Sunday December 17, 2012, 2 days after the CT shooting, a man went to a restaurant in San Antonio to kill his X-girlfriend. After he shot her, most of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more people. He started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming. It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!

Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media along with the school shooting?

There was an off duty county deputy at the theater. SHE pulled out her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone. So since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it never happened.

Another story that you'll never see in the national news.

LOGANVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) - CBS Atlanta News has uncovered new details regarding a home invasion in Loganville on Friday.

Walton County investigators said the homeowner involved wasn't the only target and released the chilling 911 call from the incident.

"Melinda, if he opens that door you shoot, you shoot him, you understand?" the victim's husband, Donnie Herman, could be heard saying to his wife on the 911 call.

Donnie Herman called 911 just seconds before a man broke into his home where his wife and two children were hiding in a crawl space.

"She shot him, she's shooting him. She's shooting him, she's shooting him," Donnie Herman said in the call.

Donnie Herman wasn't at home, but he had his wife on one line and the police on another.

Investigators said Paul Slater pried his way into the family's home on Henderson Ridge Lane.

According to authorities, he used a crowbar to bust open three doors inside the home as he chased Melinda Herman and her children.

Herman then shot Slater five times with a .38 caliber handgun.

The first one is questionable. There was no reason to do anything but call the cops

I would've told her to get back in her car and run over the two she missed with the gun.
