Seriously, dude. Go get checked out by a doctor. If he/she finds anything wrong whatsoever, go for the fucking jugular. I should've done that when I was rear-ended back in 2008, but I didn't. And my lower back hasn't been the same ever since.

I've been in 6 accidents dude...at fault for 1 on those.

A Kenworth cabover with a 53' trailer nailed my rear quarter panel once...he blatantly ran a stop sign. I never claimed injury but that was when my neck and jaw started really bothering me. I couldn't open my driver's side door (2 door, he hit that side) so I got out of the passenger side and the first thing the guy says - My bumper, oooh nooo my bumper!

I won't tell you how I responded to THAT after being thrown up on a boulevard from the force of the imapct... ...

but let's just say that he was at fault, he was a long haul driver in another province and he tried to dodge me and my insurance guy for 2 weeks. He also lost his job at the trucking company...

sorry to hear dude...up here you have 2 years to claim injury as whiplash etc doesn't always manifest itself immediately

I remembered her plate number because it stood out ( 4 letters, 3 numbers? ) and then Porky was chatting that same morning about how some bitch rear ended him. I had no idea he made a thread in the car section because I never look there

weird coincidence...I understand that out of town drivers do their own thing, but this chick I was following could barely keep her car between the lines and was doing all sorts of erratic crap

Careful...the chiro sometimes can do more harm than good. I'd see my MD and have him refer you to physio. They are magic.

I was a passenger in a big car crash in 1980, and did a number on my cartilage on the left knee. I HAVE to exercise to keep the muscles built up to compensate or else it hurts. I can't bowl or ski or walk for over about 3 miles but other than that I'm OK.

I had/have a thing called plantar fasciitis (https://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&safe=images&client=firefox-a&hs=3Nj&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=rcs&spell=1&q=plantar+fasciitis&sa=X&ei=l2UkUa-dDOS0iQKFhYGYCw&ved=0CDAQvwUoAA&biw=999&bih=413) (still comes back sometimes) and my physio gave me a bunch of exercises to do to keep it at bay. AND she detected the damage done in 1980 and gave me stuff for that too.

My MD sent me to a physical therapist for terrible sciatic nerve pain. Having been to physical therapy before I know how it works. Lots of painful exercises several times a week for minimal progress.

I got a 2nd opinion from my Chiropractor and within 3 months all the pain had ceased and it's never come back. The cause? I had a lower lumbar vertebrae that was way out of alignment after a weight lifting accident. The physical therapist wouldn't have done anything but put me in extreme pain for a problem that wasn't going away without putting my vertebrae back in place.

Chiropractors have such a bad rap but it all depends on the one you see. Mine happens to be a miracle worker.

I agree with this....I had some pretty complicated pain issues, saw more specialists than I could list here and finally found a chiro guy who at least alleviated enough pain that I could turn my head while making lane changes driving...if he's adjusting me and something won't go, he doesn't force it

They've authorized a 7k repair on a car that's worth 8k tops? :-s Pretty stupid really......... over here they tend to fix cars only if the repairs come to under 65-70% of the vehicles book price.

It's typically 75-80% here. The Blue Book prices have been way off though, I'm sure it came back as valued higher than 8K if they are fixing it.

Great.

Either the bad panel alignment is the cheap assed aftermarket panels the insurance company forced them to use or they are just hacks and didn't give a fuck. With the engine lights and the panel misfit I'd be worried about improperly repaired structural damage as well. Open the hood and look around in the cracks and crevices with a flashlight for additional poor repairs. Even if they sort out the panels for you they are just cosmetic, what's poorly repaired underneath?

Take a bunch of photos.

I'd give them one shot to make it right before notifying the insurance company you're not satisfied and have another shop inspect the work. It's a shops and the insurance companies duty to restore the car to PRE ACCIDENT CONDITION.
