Pot tourism in Colorado? Marijuana regulators OK idea

DENVER - Marijuana tourism is on the way to Colorado, but the state will put up signs in airports and borders telling visitors they can't take pot home. That was a recommendation made Tuesday by a pot task force set up to suggest regulations for the drug made legal by voters by year.

The task force formally recommended the following Tuesday:


Allowing non-residents of Colorado to purchase marijuana in shops, but limiting the quantity that non-residents can purchase in a transaction
Allowing only Colorado residents to apply for a license to open a marijuana store
NOT selling marijuana through state-run stores (like the way Utah sells liquor)
Easing state tax filing for marijuana businesses
Relaxing criminal laws against people under the age of 21 for first marijuana offenses



The task force failed to agree to home-growing regulations and public use rules. Coloradans voted last year to allow adults over 21 to have up to six plants.

The state Legislature will ultimately vote on the task force's recommendations.

six? six flowering, or six total? this is where the people that write the laws are utterly ignorant and make stupid rules. they should only make rules for flowering plants, you need to take a lot of cloned little ones to ensure your crop. it shouldnt be considered "a plant" to have a snippet of an offshoot that is just trying to make roots.
