FAIRFIELD, Ill. — A Fairfield, Ill. man was arrested twice Saturday afternoon: Once for drunk driving and then a second time later for urinating on the county jail.

An Illinois State Police Trooper transported Keith Kline, 45, to the Wayne County jail at about 3:45 p.m. where he was booked on a charge of drunken driving.

About 30 minutes later, after completing the booking process and posting bond, Kline was released, but only briefly.

The trooper who booked Kline noticed on the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department video surveillance system that Kline walked out of the jail and proceeded to urinate on the steps of the jail entrance.

The trooper arrested Kline again and returned him inside, where he was booked on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Kline posted bond again, and was released from custody pending a court appearance on both charges. Kline works for the city of Fairfield's electrical department.
