Odds to win 2013 World Series
Four teams stand out from pack in Vegas

As pitchers and catchers report to spring training this week, the Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers, both at 7-to-1, sit atop the LVH SuperBook's odds to win the 2013 World Series Two NL clubs, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals, are next at 8-to-1.

The early World Series buzz has surrounded the possibility of a Freeway Series in 2013, but those residing in the Motor City and the nation’s capital anticipate a different outcome.

The Nationals might have the best pitching staff in the game. Stephen Strasburg fronts a deep rotation that also includes Jordan Zimmermann, Gio Gonzalez and Dan Haren. The starters will hand the ball off to a potentially lights-out bullpen that will be able to protect slim leads throughout the season.

The Tigers rotation doesn't boast the same depth, but ace Justin Verlander is among the best in the game. Offensively, the Tigers routinely outscore the opposition behind a lineup driven by Austin Jackson, Torii Hunter, Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder and Victor Martinez.

Here is the full list of odds to win the 2013 World Series, along with odds to win the NL and AL pennants, posted at the LVH.

Wagers can be placed until the first big day of games to start the season (April 1st) and then wagering will be locked out because the odds will constantly change as the season goes along.

Seriously? Now? Before midseason? Before the season actually starts? Without seeing any of the teams playing?

No, I figured it was either now or wait until November....it will be much easier to pick then

It would be easier if we saw a season and see who gets into the playoffs.

Nah, the Expos were moved and became the Washington Nationals after the 2004 season. I don't know if I would count out the Blue Jays this year. They spent some money and brought in some decent players. They still have a monster hitter in Jose Bautista and several other good hitters in their lineup, plus they've got Melky Cabrera and Jose Reyes now, among other mentionables. I suppose if you followed baseball more, some of those other mentionables would be familiar. As far as I can see, on paper, they're a team to keep an eye on this season.

The Braves aren't in the mix.

The Cardinals beat the Dodgers to take a 3 - 1 series lead. The Dodgers have to sweep the next four games to get to the World Series. I don't think it's gonna happen.

Greinke. He gave up 2, then they went to the setup man in the 8th and the closer in the 9th.

It was like 4 - 2 when the 8th inning hit.
