The Kardashians made the covers of several magazines this week in a glut of cheating allegations and fat-shaming.
Rather than follow the lead of Star, who fabricated a “65 lb weight gain” on Kim Kardashian, or In Touch who fabricated a 200 lb “nightmare,” Us Weekly is staying firmly in Kris Jenner’s pocket by writing another cloying article.
Because it behooves them to flatter rather than mock, the cover says, “Don’t Call Me Fat! Kim’s agony over pregnancy weight insults; The strict diet she’s struggling to keep; Why Kanye won’t let her wear maternity clothes.”
Us calls out Star and In Touch for bashing Kim’s weight gain and insists: “The vitriol is taking an emotional toll.”
This article points out mean tabloid covers, comments on [blogs] and the infamous killer whale photo juxtaposition, and quotes Donald Trump, who said of Kim: “Does she have a good body? No? Does she have a fat ass? Absolutely.”
The mag talks to Kim’s trainer, Tracy Anderson, who says: “She’s doing great. She’s not saying, ‘I’m gross,’ or fat. She’s having the same reaction as any women: ‘Really? I’m expanding this much?’”
Pretty smart to do a sympathetic story, since the mag’s target readers are women and approximately 100% of pregnant women gain weight. Anyway, apparently Kanye has no problem with Kim’s figure, thinks she is gorgeous, and wants her to be happy. - via Jezebel.
Previously, a source told New York Daily News: “She is finding the criticism difficult, but has tough skin. Her body is getting wider and most things don’t fit properly or aren’t comfortable. However, at the end of the day, she cares about the health of her baby. Her maternity wardrobe isn’t on her mind.”
