NICEVILLE – A woman became angry over a dog and tried to whack her grandmother with a shoe, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
On March 10 the woman, 28-year-old Michela Ann Jensen of Niceville; her father; grandmother and others were having a birthday cookout at her father’s house on Capri Cove when the subject of Jensen’s dog came up. Apparently her father got rid of the dog while Jensen was in jail.
According to the arrest report, Jensen became angry at her grandmother and advanced on her with a shoe. To prevent Jensen from attacking the older woman, Jensen’s father intervened and the two ended up on the ground.
Jensen said her father grabbed her by the hair and hit her several times in the back of the head. Jensen’s father said she hit him several times. His story was corroborated by Jensen’s grandmother and other witnesses.
Jensen was charged with assault and battery – second or subsequent offense.
Her court date is April 23.
