Hey im fairly new here but some of you know me a bit. This year my wife and I have decided to take part in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on Sept. 14 In Grand Rapids Michigan. For those that dont know we have a 7 year old daughter with type 1 diabetes. She was diagnosed just before her second birthday. We have a goal of $1,500.00 to donate. If we hit our goal by the walk date i promise to dye my hair (beard too) blue for the walk! Now here is where i need your help. Go to http://www2.jdrf.org/site/PageServer...=walk_homepage enter Jodi's Team in the search field and select Michigan for the state and that will bring you to the page to donate. Any little bit will help to reach our goal. So if you want to see me looking like a smurf all you have to do is donate and if we reach the $1,500 dollar goal it will happen. Please take the time to donate and help find a cure. Also to avoid any issues like with other donations if you follow the link none of the money goes directly to me. It is all handled by JDRF. And of course pics will be posted if the goal is hit. So donate phuckers! Thanks a bunch

I'd say most of us do since a good few of us made donations for redred's kid (Race for life) just last month. I know quite a lot of members here regularly donate to good causes too. I've also personally just made a large donation (which i really can't afford right now) to my cousin - she's having all her hair shaved off in aid of MacMillan Cancer Research this saturday......... so, whether your comment was tongue in cheek or not, i did find it kind of insulting.

Yup and we are half way there already. We got some things planned if it ever decides to warm up. Kinda hard to do car washes and things like that when the hose freezes every couple of min.

I've lived here all of my life and we used to get 4 distinct seasons you could anticipate by the calendar...

now it's just snow and not-snow.....and people say our climate isn't changing...pffffttt

we used to get the classic seasons...spring showed buds on the trees and you could feel the warmth of the sun, autumn was beautiful with the leaves turning a million colors...summer was hot (90F days throughout) and winter we used to get a gradual accumulation of snow, culminating in a fuck pot worth with drifts 5 feet high and temps of -25F ...

Now the weather changes 19 times a day....one day it's hot enough to tan, next it snows 3 feet :lol:

same here. we have lake michigan that fucks everything up. in the winter we get lake effect snow with that you can have on spot get 3 feet in a day and 1/4 mile a way wont see a flake. And in the summer and major storms that come our way get tore up by the cold water and fizzle out
