In one of the stranger incidents to reach its desk, the Toronto police sex crimes unit is anxious to locate four heavyset women clad in black mini-dresses alleged to have sexually assaulted a male teen-ager in a parking lot on the weekend.
The unidentified 19-year-old encountered the women in a nightclub on Peter Street near King Street and University Avenue Friday night, in the entertainment district. He had not met the quartet before and spent “quite a few hours with them,” Constable Wendy Drummond said.
Then came an offer of a ride home.
He agreed, “but he didn’t agree to everything else that took place,” Constable Drummond said.
Instead of being driven home, the man found himself in a parking lot near Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue, where it’s alleged all four women sexually assaulted him.
The four women then sped away in a silver Honda SUV, police said.
All are believed to be in their 30s; all are white; all were wearing short black dresses and high heels, without stockings; and all are thought to weigh between 190 and 200 pounds.
The driver had a distinctive butterfly tattoo on the back of her neck and may be British in origin.
Police were examining video footage from the club, which they would not identify.
No hospital treatment was immediately required by the teen, and while the circumstances are unusual, police are not laughing, Constable Drummond said.
“The details are serious. This is not something to be taken lightly.”
Predictably, however, the Twitterverse quickly became a platform for derisive, unsympathetic comments about the victim.
