(KMOV.com) -- A 39-year-old man is recovering after he was shot twice in the head in St. Louis early Saturday morning.
The shooting happened in the 3800 block of Folsom around 4:45 a.m.
According to police, the victim was involved in a car accident in Brooklyn, Ill. When the striking vehicle left the scene, authorities say the victim followed the vehicle into St. Louis. The suspect vehicle pulled into an alley on Folsom and stopped.
Police say two men exited the vehicle, and the passenger fired several gunshots. The victim suffered two gunshot wounds to the top of his head, then reportedly drove himself to an area hospital.
The victim remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Police described the first suspect as a 6'0" - 6'0" black male with dark complexion and a slim build. The second suspect was described as a 5'10" - 5'11" black male with dark complexion, a heavy build and shoulder-length dreadlocks.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
