whats your plan with it?

Someone wrote code to make a mixed drink dispenser out of it. Multiple bottles perfectly mixing a handful of drinks. Some are also using it for a home media PC for movies etc. Just the basic kit is dirt cheap.

I dont know yet, I was thinking about getting one mainly so my son could fuck with it. If I see some cool applications I may give one a shot. Its just a cool toy for the price.

You can do that with a basic smart relay..

Voltage supply and inputs in the available in versions: 24 V and 100 – 240 V AC, 12 V and 24 V DC.
8 of the inputs are digital inputs.
2 analog inputs: 0 - 10 V (0 – 1023 bit resolution), in the versions 12 V, 24 V DC and 24 V AC.
4 relay outputs: 8 A (10 A UL) or 4 transistor outputs: 24 V DC/0.5 A per output.
128 lines of logic with 3 contacts and 1 series coil.
$100 bucks, open the box and go.

I've stated this elsewhere, but if you're gonna buy one of these things, then spend the $35 for the 512MB model B rev2. It has more resources on it. Don't expect to be doing anything really fast with it.
