One person was killed Saturday in a shooting at a Bethel Park business.
Police say they were called to Armen's House of Music in the 5900 block of Library Road shortly before noon because an intruder had attacked the store's owner and his wife inside the business.
Police Chief John Mackey said a man in his early 30's walked into the store, looked around, and then left. He returned a few minutes later with a wooden club and began attacking the owner's wife, Sylvia Armen.
Her husband, Alfred Armen, then tried to defend his wife and fought with the suspect before shooting him to death.
Police aren't sure what the motive was behind the attack, but say it does not appear to be a robbery. The man who was shot to death was identified by the medical examiner's office as 31-year-old Andrew Moore of Venetia.
Mr. and Mrs. Armen were taken to the hospital with head injuries, but are expected to be okay.
