Lindsay Lohan's not one to play it safe...even when it comes to checking in to court-mandated rehab!

The 26-year-old actress is required to show proof of enrollment in a live-in treatment program by 8:30 a.m. Thursday—and sources tell E! News that as of early this morning, she has still not landed back in L.A.

"It is indeed going to be a very tight arrival," a source adds. "She's really left it to the last minute and it's just nuts."

The Mean Girls star, who is planning to check into Morningside Recovery Center in Newport Beach, Calif., missed her initially scheduled flight from New York to L.A., and then, according to a source, "even showed up superlate" for her cross-country flight on a private plane. (Sources confirm to E! News a friend of Lindsay's paid for the plane.)

Now Lindsay, who will spend 90 days in the rehab facility, is expected to go straight from the airport to Morningside Recovery Center, and a separate car will transport her luggage. (She did pack 270 outfits for 90 days, so…that part makes sense.)

Fingers crossed she makes her 8:30 a.m. check-in time! We wish her nothing but the best.

Lindsay Lohan's case is back in court today and there could be a judicial explosion ... because Lindsay has again VIOLATED the deal she struck by not enrolling in the rehab facility approved by prosecutors.

As we first reported, rather than showing up at Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach, NY, Lindsay flew to California last night and we believe she's headed for Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach -- a facility NOT approved by prosecutors.

If the judge gets really upset, he could issue a bench warrant and reinstate Lindsay's 90-day jail sentence.

Lindsay Lohan may have gotten away with it again ... she checked into a rehab facility that was NEVER approved by prosecutors and the judge seems like he's down with the change.

TMZ broke the story ... Lindsay checked into Morningside Recovery this morning in Newport Beach. As we previously reported ... prosecutors and Lindsay's lawyer, Mark Heller -- who wore a tie that could itself be a felony -- had agreed she would enroll in Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach, NY. Heller never gave prosecutors a heads-up that Lindsay was flying to CA last night to enroll in Morningside.

As we reported, Lindsay made the change because Seafield wouldn't let her smoke at the facility ... but smoking was permitted at Morningside.

A furious prosecutor -- Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White -- clearly felt blindsided by the change, saying he learned about it from the media yesterday. White also expressed misgivings about Morningside, saying he found 3 articles "condemning" the facility.

As for what prosecutor White was talking about ... in 2012 State investigators suspended Morningside's license for allegedly being careless with prescription drugs. And at least 9 families of patients reportedly sued the facility for failing to deliver treatment. At the time, a State official called Morningside, "a substantial threat" to the health and safety of the public.

But Judge Jim Dabney looked at some of the paperwork about Morningside and said on its face it seemed like the rehab joint was acceptable, but he's giving prosecutors a week from Friday to investigate.

For now, Lindsay will stay at Morningside -- where she can smoke as many cigarettes as she wants.

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer lied in court today when he said his client was already ensconced in a rehab facility ... she was actually roaming the aisles of an electronics store.

Lindsay was at Fry's Electronics in Fountain Valley, CA at 9 AM ... the same time her lawyer, Mark Heller, told the judge she was confined to Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach.

Fact is ... this post went up at 11:10 AM PT and she's still not at Morningside. Lindsay's SUV arrived at the facility a short time ago but she didn't get out ... the vehicle left with Lindsay still inside.

It's unclear if the judge will allow Lindsay to do her 90 days at Morningside. TMZ broke the story ... the facility had its license REVOKED and it can no longer provide treatment. It's just a sober living facility, and it's doubtful that's gonna cut it with hizzoner.

Lindsay Lohan has done it again.

The troubled starlet left rehab barely two minutes after walking through the doors, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The Mean Girls star decided she didn’t need rehab, one source told Radar exclusively.

Lindsay first shopped at an electronics store and then fled rehab after she was “spooked by the paparazzi,” when she went into the facility, according to the New York Daily News which first reported that Lindsay took off.

A source told Radar that Lindsay walked into Morningside Recovery in Orange County, California on Thursday and walked right out!

“She told people there that she didn’t need rehab,” a source familiar with the situation told Radar.

“And then she left. Everyone was stunned.”

Lindsay’s father Michael confirmed to Radar that she left rehab and said: “I have no other choice than to get this out there to help Lindsay.”

Lohan’s attorney Mark Heller was in court earlier Thursday and created havoc by announcing she was attending Morningside instead of going to a facility in New York, as previously discussed.

Now Lindsay’s disappearing act may be a violation of her recent plea deal. The Daily News reported that she was headed to the airport for a flight to New York.

Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White was not happy with the new Lohan drama. “If there’s credible confirmation she’s heading back to New York, then I’m going to have to go in and ask the court to issue a warrant,” he said, according to the Daily News.

And Michael Lohan told Radar that if Lindsay is indeed headed to New York she’s in big trouble. “If that’s the case I have been told that she will be arrested in New York and her bail will be set at $100,000.”
