RUPERT (WVVA) - Three were arrested on meth charges in Rupert on Friday after police found the makings of a meth lab in a child's room.

The bust occurred at a home along Route 60.

Deputies say they found a meth lab in a child's room and bedroom closet, as well as suspected meth bottles in the garage.

Two infant children were taken from the home and into DHHR custody.

The children's parents, Amanda Bevins, 22, and Anthony Bevins, 24, were each charged with operating a clandestine meth lab and exposure of children to methamphetamine manufacturing.

Anthony Bevins is also charged with obstructing an officer.

Also charged with operating a clandestine lab is Jeffrey Boothe, 24, of Charmco -- who police say helped obtain meth-making ingredients.

Amanda Bevins is being held on $35,000 bond, while Anthony Bevins is behind bars on $50,000 bond.

Jeffrey Boothe's bond has been set at $30,000.

The children have been placed under the care of other family members, Chief Deputy Sloan said Monday afternoon.
