By the same token though, you don't go over to a friends house, piss on his carpet then wonder why he punched you in the face ;) Like every other forum on the internet we do have some rules........ many of which are bent/broken on a daily basis and no-one bats an eyelid because we're all friends. If an admin/mod asks you not to do something and you feel they're wrong, send them a pm instead of throwing it back in their face on the open forum - far easier and saves everyone grief!

I got a pm from a mod. Someone had complained that it was child pornography and took the time to write a nastygram to the moderators. They in turn gave me a choice: edit the post or take an infraction. To say I was pissed would be an understatement. So I took the picture down...but I never gave the mods any backhanded shit or the person who registered the complaint. Like removing a link...it was the easier of two things. I never made a followup thread or referred to it again. I did have a lot to say on the subject tho...

it was a different forum, but I had to follow the rules of the day....not saying that you haven't, just saying I chose to follow the lead of the mods rather than complain about it
