SUGAR LAND, Texas—A 33-year-old Sugar Land mom is accused of having sex with her daughter’s 14-year-old ex-boyfriend.
Sarah Maria Torres was arrested on July 16 and charged with sexual assault of a child.
Sugar Land police said the assault occurred on May 23, a day when the boy stayed home from school.
He and Torres lived in the same neighborhood.
After the teen told a family member about his alleged sexual relationship with his ex-girlfriend’s mom, police were notified.
The boy’s mother also provided evidence to police that she believed was connected with the assault.
Torres was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail and her bond was set at $150,000.
Some neighbors were surprised to hear the news.
“Very nice neighbor, to me a great mom, involved with her kids,” said Kattia Sarge.
Another neighbor said Torres owns a home day care center.
