BRADENTON, Fla. - Police have charged a Bradenton man with felony obscenity offenses after they say he made arrangements online to meet with a person he thought was underage for sex.
71-year-old Raymond Robarge has been charged with Travelling to Meet a Minor to Have Sex (2nd Degree Felony), and Certain Uses of Computer Services or Devices Prohibited (3rd Degree Felony).
According to the Bradenton Police Department, on July 18th, Robarge approached two young men in Bradenton and offered money to have sex with them. The young men refused, and Robarge left his cell phone number with them.
Later, a detective contacted Robarge through recorded phone calls and text messages posing as a 15-year-old boy. Robarge reportedly described numerous sexual acts he wanted to engage in, and arranged to meet the boy in Bradenton.
Upon arrival, he was met by detectives and arrested.
