YPSILANTI, Mich. (WJBK) -

When you buy a storage unit at auction you never know what you'll get.

A Southfield couple claims they found child porn in their purchase. They didn't call police, but that didn't stop officers from showing up that door.

The man was arrested with possession of child porn and his fiancee very upset. She said why are you arresting him? We just found this stuff.

"We found jewelry, all kinds of things," said Shavon Henry.

Just like the television show 'Storage Wars,' Henry and her fiancee, Tyrique Wilkerson, wanted to make extra money. So she says they recently started bidding on abandoned storage units hoping to find a hidden treasure.

"You take your chances and go out and spend some money," said Henry.

But last week, their luck ran out when they won an unit at Ypsilanti's National Storage Center and unearthed what appeared to be a child porn operation.

"We started noticing odd things such as bins full of children's panties and disgusting pictures of little girls in little lingerie outfits," said Henry.

Henry claims they alerted the storage center and threw away as much of a child pornographic material they could find, brought the rest of the bins home, and then, found more.

"We were coming to bring the stuff to the police station and before we could do that they were at our door, kicking in my door," said Henry. "I was sleeping. I get woken up by two officers pulling me out of my own bed."

Henry says officers raided their Southfield home. Officers seized a camera, underwear, two lighting devices, a binder with pictures of young girls and arrested her fiancee for possession of child porn and obstruction of a criminal investigation.

But she claims the stuff isn't theirs. It was the rest of what they planned to turn in. "I can't believe this," said Henry. "I can't believe they won't listen. I'm heartbroken right now. They won't even give him a chance to explain himself."

A spokesperson for national storage tells FOX 2 the unit did belong to someone else who did abandon it. They had no idea this was going on because they say the last owner created a wall in the unit that concealed this child porn operation. In the meantime, Henry feels her fiancee is taking the fall for another man's crime.

"I'm going crazy. I have to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a lawyer that we don't have, to get him out of these charges. This isn't fair."

Ypsilanti police aren't saying very much. They say they are in the middle of a sensitive investigation. They say Wilkerson is not the target. There are others involved. Wilkerson seems to be in trouble for what he did once he discovered the illegal items.

If their story is true, why wouldn't you call the cops immediately after discovering this stuff? And why on earth would you bring it home with you and hold onto it to "turn in later"???

Yes the moment I opened the container either it all goes into a fire or you call the cops immediately. You have to prove the items came from a purchased container which would be difficult at best.
