Molly is a Carolina corn snake and as soft as a teddy bear, Honey is a Florida corn snake, Rosie a Brazilian Rainbow boa, Dex is a Honduran Milk snake and Buster (tubby) is a Bull snake, they're just gorgeous.

I wish she was  she's so dificult to get to feed, babies should feed twice a week but I'm lucky if I can get ther to eat something every 10 days, I fed her tonight after 12 days and she's just using it as a pillow, I just don't know what to do with her I've tried everything. :(

Smaller prey?
Smaller prey?
Or live prey.
Smaller prey?
I've tried her on smaller prey she's still only on small fluffs or pinkies and she's 5 months old
Or live prey.
That's something that I don't think I could do.
As a last resort snakes can be assist fed or force fed but I've never had to do that with any of my snakes so I think I would need some help with that.

Wait........ you keep (and love) snakes yet you're squeamish about giving them live feed? :-s That's all i'd be feeding them......... they have to catch their own food in the wild  Used to love sticking fish in with my turtles, carnage would ensue
So I gave her the rat pup, warmed it up for her, cut it so that it bled and had it do a little dance for her and still she didn't eat it..... I give up... I'm out of idea's now... :sad2:

I've always been wary of women who keep snakes, bad experience once
But your snakes are beautiful :) and I have other reasons to be wary of you, you work with scissors and hot wax
Rosie (fingers crossed) seems to be feeding better, I've finally found out how she likes her prey, she like to think it's still alive  I have to defrost it then warm it in hot water, if it's not hot enough she leaves it so I then have to dip in back into the water and try again, once she's struck and coiled it I have to tug on it (gently) to make her think it's still kicking, typical damanding female

Soooo, because you are squeamish, you won't give your friends the proper food? Bad girl Minz, bad girl.
J/K, lubs ya babe!
They get proper food, just killed before I get it, how could I look at that sad cute little face then send it to it's death myself :( besides, rats and mice have been known to cause quite bad injuries to snakes when live feeding.

And here I will demonstrate my ignorance about snakes.
Is there not a viable, live food source that is perhaps smaller than a mouse? I know some of the snakes around here eat bugs, spiders, etc.

Bugs!!!!! I hate bugs :wha:
No, they need larger prey, can you imagine how many bugs it would take to feed and adult Rainbow Boa at around 6/7 foot or my Bull snake when he's 7ft long?

I finally got around to moving the babies from their start-up faunariums to their more permanent homes, buster was fast outgrowing his so I had to get it done sooner rather than later, Buster is now in a 4x1.5x1.5 vivarium and Rosie is now in a 3x1.5x1.5 terrarium, here's a picture of Rosie's new pad before I moved in the furniture.

bottom left - Honey and Molly (corn snakes)
top right - Buster (Bull snake)
bottom right - Dexter (Honduran Milk snake)

I thought I'd had an escapee last night, searched everywhere for him, found him hiding inside one of his new cage decorations, needless to say that has now been removed!
Finally finished Rosie's new pad and I have to say I think it looks great.

Thanks, It's a background print, because she's in a terrarium (glass enclosure) I've put that around it to give her a little security so that she won't feel so exposed, she love all the wood and flowers and spend more time on them than on the ground.

I just don't know what to do with Rosie, she's now lost weight and is back down to 34grams, for a seven month old snake that's very small, I was ok whilst she was gaining even though it was small amounts like a gram per week but she can't aford to drop any more weight as sh's so tiny to begin with, assist feeding may become an option very soon, I hope not as that will cause her a lot of stress and she's such a delicate little thing... :(
