Absolute true story.
I was over at my best buds house for a BBQ get together. He had the meat on the grill, and his oldest daughter (13 or so at the time) wanted to go to town to pick up a girlfriend who was to spend the night. I hadn't been drinking yet, so I took her. After I picked the friend up, they both got in the back seat of the truck and were texting on their phones. No introductions, no talking at all.
I finally asked them if they were texting each other or what, and did they still know how to speak out loud.
After that, all was normal.
