The founder of the conservative groups Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch this week called for a coup against President Barack Obama.
Larry Klayman, a former federal prosecutor in the administration of President Ronald Reagan, who now represents the families of Navy SEALs who died when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan and who are now suing the government, wrote an article Monday on the right-wing web site Renew America, titled, “Obama, Come Out With Your Hands Up!”
In the piece, Klayman (pictured), whose Judicial Watch organization filed 18 lawsuits against the Clinton administration in the 1990s, declares that “impeachment is not an option” for removing Obama from office. Klayman says impeachment is imperative due to the president’s “pro-Islamic desire to intervene to ‘save’ his radical Muslim al-Qaida ‘freedom fighters’ by bombing Syria,” among other alleged offenses.
Klayman also declares the court system “not ready, willing or, practically speaking, able to get the job done.” As evidence of the courts’ impotence, Klayman cites their unwillingness to declare Obama ineligible to hold the office of president.
“From Florida, to Alabama, to Georgia, to California, lower court judges have fudged the law to squirm out of having to actually rule on not only his ‘phony’ birth certificate but also his lack of having two American-born citizen parents as required by our Constitution,” Klayman wrote.
Klayman says that “citizen’s grand juries” operated by his activist organization Freedom Watch are currently indicting federal officials, including Obama. Once indicted, Klayman says, Obama is obligated to “surrender himself to the peoples’ system of justice for incarceration.”
Not expecting the president to go without a fight, Klayman calls for “angry patriots” to “occupy Washington” sometime in the week before Thanksgiving this year, demanding Obama’s surrender.
“I do not advocate violence,” Klayman wrote. “But it is time we show Obama that we mean business. He would be well advised to ride off into his Islamic sunset, link up with 72 virgins and party on at his expense — not ours!”
This is not the first time that Klayman has called for Obama to be forcibly deposed. In July, on the right-wing site World Net Daily, Klayman called for a military overthrow.
“Is it inconceivable that one day the military in this country could rise up in support of not only the American people but themselves, and remove Obama and his radical Muslim, socialist comrades by whatever means prove necessary to preserve the republic?” he wrote.
In April, Klayman wrote that the deadly explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas that killed 77 people was actually an act of “Muslim terrorism” intended to kill former president George W. Bush, who lives more than 75 miles away in Dallas.
