Lisa Percy was at a loss to explain why she was attacked
A chemotherapy patient was assaulted with a stiletto by a drunk ladette who told her: ‘So, you’re the c*** with cancer.’
Lisa Percy was left with a bleeding head after trying to eject Natalie Hull from her pub.
Mrs Percy, 52, who was bald from chemotherapy and had undergone a mastectomy, says she cannot understand why she was attacked.
Hull, a care worker, was given a community order after pleading guilty to assault. ‘In a way, I feel sorry because she’s only 20 and has that terrible conviction on her record,’ Mrs Percy said.

‘She was drunk and stupid, and it’s very sad that she should have behaved like this. I don’t see why anyone would do that to anyone, let alone someone who clearly had cancer.
‘What concerned me the most is that people locally told us she was a care worker.
‘What kind of person does that to someone knowing they were poorly with cancer?’
Mrs Percy had been trying to sort out a drunken scuffle at the Welcome Tavern in Walton-le-Dale, near Preston, in January when the incident happened.
‘It erupted into a massive brawl,’ she said.
‘I went outside to try to stop it. My head was really bad after all the chemo and the steroids I was on for it.
‘About 20 lads were kicking hell out of each other.
‘This girl asked me “Who the f***” I was and I said “It’s my pub”. Then she said “So you’re the c*** with cancer then?” I was absolutely speechless.’
Hull, of Bamber Bridge, Lancashire, was ordered to do 140 hours of unpaid work as part of an 18-month community order.
She was also told to pay £300 to Mrs Percy in the hearing at Leyland magistrates’ court.
