While being investigated by police for having sex with a 13-year-old student, Winson Tang Ting Wei, 25, went on to repeat the offence with another 15-year-old student a month later. He was jailed for 18 months.
District Judge Eddy Tham said that the sentence must reflect Tan’s lack of remorse after committing the first offence. He had been introduced to the first victim by her elder brother on Oct 1 last year. They agreed to enter into a relationship and on Oct 13, she visited him at his flat in Pending Road in the Bukit Panjang area. She spent the night with him and they had sex in his bedroom.
When she returned home, her mother showed her the police report she had lodged as she feared her daughter was missing. They went to cancel the report and the teen told a police officer about having sex with Tan.
Tan, who helps out in his family’s business, was called up by the cops for investigation. Before they were completed, he had sex with a 15-year-old student in her flat in Bukit Panjang some time in November last year. He had sex with her again on two other occasions.
