Christopher Philo called his ex-girlfriend – also the mother of his child – thousands of times over three months, sometimes over a hundred times a day, police said.

He would also leave terrifying voicemails for the woman who was two decades younger than him, messages characterized by a barrage of gun shots followed by his familiar voice telling her she was dead, according to a West Palm Beach police arrest report.

But as of Tuesday, the Delray Beach man was behind bars and facing a charge of aggravated stalking.

The arrest report outlined the allegations against Philo, 42, whose violent ways emerged soon after he and the young woman, now 22, started dating in August 2011.

At various points in their "tumultuous" relationship, Philo punched and kicked the woman and tossed a hardcover Bible at her pregnant stomach, police said. Pregnant with Philo's baby, the woman left him in September 2012 and moved in with her sister.

By March 2013, three months after the birth of their child, Philo was bombarding the woman with threatening texts and voicemails, police said. He called her, according to the arrest report, "thousands" of times between March and June.

Summer came and Philo had moved on to a new tactic that involved "using law enforcement to harass" the victim, the arrest report stated. He'd call police and request a welfare check on the child, alleging that his ex-girlfriend was a drug addict and the house she lived in was full of mold, cops said.

According to police, Philo had been served with an injunction against domestic violence by Sept. 9, barring him from any contact with the woman. The next day, he allegedly called the cops on her again. She would also receive a visit from the Florida Department of Children and Families after somebody made an anonymous call accusing her of child abuse and neglect.

Still, more texts started coming in from a number she had never seen before. One of them told her she would burn in hell.

After the victim called police on Oct. 5, the texts stopped. Instead, the woman's current boyfriend and his father appeared to have become Philo's new target. According to the report, they were each receiving hundreds of phone calls a week, prompting each to file for their own restraining orders against Philo.

The victim's sister was also subjected to Philo's alleged harassment, police said. According to the report, Philo propositioned her with sex and said they could rule the world together.

Philo was held in custody without bond in the Palm Beach County Jail on Thursday, according to court records.

He has no prior arrests in the state, according to Florida Department of Law Enforcement records.
