A Bozeman woman arrested for driving under the influence was also ticketed for a seatbelt violation after highway patrol said she had two unrestrained passengers having sex in her back seat.
Alexis Kristine Cooper, 22, was arrested Sunday night on Huffine Lane. She was charged with a first offense DUI and a seatbelt violation for her two reportedly amorous passengers. Cooper appeared in Gallatin County Justice Court on Monday morning and was released.
According to charging documents:
A Montana Highway Patrol trooper patrolling on Norris Road saw a blue Kia sedan weaving within its lane while driving east around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.The trooper pulled the car over.
There were two unrestrained passengers in the back seat having "sexual relations". The vehicle smelled of alcohol.
Cooper, the driver, was arrested and taken to the Gallatin County jail. Her blood alcohol content was 0.175. She was cited for DUI and for a seatbelt violation. She was also warned for having expired registration, an out-of-state driver's license and an open container.
