What are some of your favorite hot sauces, be they mainstream or specialty?

For the money and the taste, I really still love this stuff, and you can get it almost anywhere:

Not overpowering in either heat or flavor, but it's damn good and it's freaking cheap as hell.

Also I just started using the Cholula hot sauces and found a couple of good ones that I really like, depending on what I'm eating:

This one has a VERY strong garlic taste to it, sometimes a bit overpowering, so you have to be careful what you put it on if you don't want to overwhelm it with garlic or if the flavor of garlic doesn't mix well with what you are eating.

And then this one:

Really good and flavorful on everything I have tried it on so far.

I think good ol' Texas Pete is a good sauce to throw on a mild BBQ to spice it up a little..

Team the sriracha sauce with other spices and it will enhance their flavours.

My spaghetti sauce - Sriracha sauce (maybe a tablespoon), plain tomato sauce you get ultra cheap, a cup of picante salsa sauce, a half of a chopped onion, a pinch of basil and oregano, a clove of garlic, and some black pepper. Low in salt because you put the spices in yourself insteading of buying a pre-packaged spaghetti sauce which gets much of it's flavour from artery-clogging salt.

For Macaroni, I put in the cheese sauce a few drops of Sriracha sauce and some pepper.

Sriracha sauce and cumin are my secret ingredients for cooking...most dishes I make have one or the other (or sometimes both) and they'll enhance other spices.

Too much vinegar in Tabasco sauce for me :yuck:

I dash of vinegar hotness can be nice to kill off some of that sweet sometimes found in a BBQ sandwich..

I like vinegar, I don't like how much they put in Tabasco sauce....plus the flavor of Tabasco peppers for me is

We put it in Ceasars...a drink coincidentally created in my hometown. Clamato juice, vodka, tabasco and a stick of celery (and a bucket for barfing in later)

as children every family up here had a bottle of tabasco and we had contests to see who could drink the most at once.....burns your lips, that's for sure

I think pretty much the same about people who put hot sauce on their food

up here we cook it properly first, so we don't have to kill every flavor in the dish with butt blasting nitro fuel on top...

We get Jamaican patties here...had some just this week. It's like a homemade hot pocket with beef or chicken and the spice level is from mild to flames out your butt.

they have a nice crusty pastry and the filling is pretty good too....the older east Indian coworker was amazed that I could eat 3 with the super hot spice level

 I was hating life the next day in a lot of ways...

It's good, but, hot as hell, at least to me. In this case, one drop will do. I actually only use it anymore when cooking.

Less than with my home made salsa...

After the third or so chip and salsa, I start sweating.

I actually like Tobasco. Guess it depends on what you grow up with. I use the Sriacha very often when overseas.
