A frightened fisherman was forced to jump overboard when his crew landed an angry marlin looking for a sword fight.
The trio’s joy upon hooking the giant catch was short-lived when the flailing fish landed on their boat on its own terms.
A clip of the incident shows the unidentified men battling the fish with a spear-like snout before it suddenly leaps in their direction.
Splashing around on the boat’s deck, one unfortunate crew member is forced to jump into the sea as the confined fish heads towards him.
The remaining crew members give the fish a wide berth, as one man strapped into a fishing chair struggles to free himself.
Commonly found in the Atlantic Ocean, marlin can grow to over 4m (16ft) long and can weigh more than 1,000lbs.
