on Dec 7.
He was here 1 1/2 years ago but I was unaware of the HUGE pre-concert tailgating parties at his shows, albeit still had an awesome time.
This go-around I wanted to be prepared by having a site at the riverfront RV park...unfortunately so did a few other folks.
Got a call today that I now have a reserved spot so I have about a month to arrange the festivities.

now to make the camper look like a pirate ship.

Buncha damned parrot heads in here.
Last I saw Buffet, was at an on the water concert somewhere in Florida. I don't remember much at all about it. I was pretty stoned back then.

Buffett concerts are just plain awesome. What a great excuse for the older set to cut loose like the kids.

I hate Jimmy Buffett. I live in an area where people revere him like a god. I can't get away from these idiots... and his music is everywhere I turn.

I have to put Deicide on just to cleanse my soul of his putrid filth.

Kidding

'Why don't we get drunk and screw' is an ok song.

I hate to be an asshole for breaking this to you, but that's not Jimmy Buffett.

That song is by a guy named Fred "August" Campbell.

I was DJ for a friend's wedding, things were going fine. People were digging the mix of tunes, and because a lot of the bride's family were Exclusively German speaking, and with only a day to prepare, I was congratulating myself for finding tunes all could like, and playing a few German language songs too.

Until the father of the groom got drunk and was berating me for my "crap music". The wine flowed and he then kept yelling "play a waltz". I remembered the ideal waltz...

Why Don't We Get Drunk, by Jimmy Buffett.

I play it,and the German relatives who don't know English love it, dad and most others were too drunk to hear the words, and the groom looks like:shock: and I am killing myself laughing.

Apparently there is enough assholery in the world for 2 songs! :) . Didn't know about the Jimmy Buffet one - thanks for posting, Hal. Even if it isn't him, it sure sounds like it.

Another Buffett jokey song... A rarity because it was never officially released.

I'm definitely not a parrot head, but I do enjoy hearing and definitely playing his stuff. Why don't we get drunk has easy chords and is a crowd pleaser at parties.

Youtube never lies :hand:

Just the people that upload the videos... I've read that he covers the song in concert, but it's not on any of his albums and that definitely ain't Buffett singing it in that video.

What did you find out about Santa? :hand:That "elves as child labour" debacle and the "Rudolph actually hits the sauce too much" expose were just rumours and innuendo.

Actually Noilly I found out that the elves revolted against the deplorable sweatshop conditions that Santa has been hiding all of these years...

so with the new union rules, only 1000 toys will be created this year. Sorry kids, elves need their breaks and lunch hours like everyone else
