The Department of Homeland Security employee who was placed on paid administrative leave four months ago for running a website that calls for the mass murder of whites has still not been fired, a DHS spokesperson told the National Journal.

The Southern Poverty Law Center first exposed Ayo Kimathi, who operates the website named “War on the Horizon,” in August, leading the DHS to place him on leave. DHS deputy press secretary Gillian Christensen confirmed that four months later, Kimathi’s status has not changed.

By day, Kimathi is an acquisitions officer for Immigration and Customs Enforcement in charge of buying weapons and ammunition for the government. But by night and in his spare time, Kimathi operates the Black supremacist website under the alias “Irritated Genie” and calls for “ethnic cleansing” of “black-skinned Uncle Tom race traitors.”

“In order for Black people to survive the 21st century, we are going to have to kill a lot of whites – more than our Christian hearts can possibly count,” he wrote on his website.

In other postings Kimathi called President Barack Obama a “homosexual” and a “degenerate Mulatto.” He also wrote that a woman’s role in life should be to “keep a strong Black man happy.”

Kimathi has been at DHS since 2009. The department received complaints about Kimathi as long as two years ago, according to the National Journal. A former supervisor of Kimathi’s told SPLC “everybody in the office is afraid of him,” and worried that he would “come in with a gun someday and go postal.”

While Homeland Security has condemned Kimathi’s political views, he remains employed as of Monday afternoon.

“This isn’t a mundane human resources matter or a tricky First Amendment question. DHS should have investigated and fired Kimathi months, or even years ago,” Josh Glasstetter of the SPLC said.

Kimathi has said that his website was only for entertainment purposes.
