A Des Moines man and woman returned home after buying groceries on Sunday to find their neighbor standing on her front porch with bow drawn back ready to shoot, according to a Des Moines Police report.
A 44-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman arrived at the home in the 2900 block of East Washington Ave. around 4:15 p.m. Sunday. The woman walked to her house to unlock the front door while the man opened the trunk of the car to remove their groceries.
The man then looked up and saw a 31-year-old woman standing on the front porch of her home on the same block. She was holding a bow and arrow that was pointed at the man.
The man told police he heard the neighbor ask, “Should I shoot? Should I shoot?”
The man went into his house and called 911.
Police took the suspect’s bow and arrow. The woman was taken to the Polk County Jail.
