That's very cool.

A buddy of mine did something similar for me on my birthday. Complete surprise a few years back. I had it framed with certificate and picture of actual presentation of flag.

any time I see a flag folded that way I think it's important....no knowing the real meaning other than the death of a soldier

Here's the one my buddy sent me.
I had sent him a care package and in return he surprised me with this. From what he told me, it was pretty common to do. They'd buy the flag over at the BX and fly it for the day in honor of whom ever. He flew mine on my birthday, and sent it back home with the certificate. It's not for the same reason as the above, but I treasure it as well. Shadow boxed it and hangs in my home. He's the one on the right. Damn I just realized that was 7 years ago.
