I just drink wine and beer all year round, not a mixed drink or spirits guy. I've been buying some random 'Winter' Ales & Lagers, all just various local micro-brews. Haven't found anything really awesome yet though.

Guinness, Lager or Cider........ and a Balvenie or 3

Darker beers, glühwein, whisky and ofcourse some yummy cocktails like White Sands.

I completely forgot about mulled wine (glühwein).

I tried a German ale at the Winter Wonderland theme park in London last week and it was really tasty. Wish I remembered the name.

Good question. Overall answer to "Christmas Alcohol?" is "YES".

Specifics...I consider the season officially on - last weekend I had 4 glasses of red wine from Cyprus...the country not the vineyard in CA. It was reportedly from a wine that was made over 10 years ago, aged 10 years before that, from a process dating back thousands of years and was majorly expensive. We had good cause to celebrate - a good buddy's girlfriend's (finally) cancer-free diagnosis. We celebrated life until early Monday morning and my Mrs. drove home (I think!) :)

Won't be able to top that, but I think more wine is in the offing...

I agree. Every year I try eggnog again thinking I might like it but it's just nasty curdled shit. Can't stand it. Beer for me too.

The usual bacardi and coke, although we will have some cheap fizzy wine pretending to be champagne Christmas Day, cos we're dead classy like that ;) :lol:

I did try a Cuba Libre on the works night out Friday, which basically translates to a posh bacardi and coke :lol: difference being Bacardi Gold and limes in the glass
