Emma Roberts is engaged to Evan Peters, PEOPLE confirms.
According to the report, Peters, 26, proposed to Roberts, 22, in New York City over the holidays with a pink gold and diamond ring. The couple then jetted off to London for New Year's Eve.
The American Horror Story costars have been dating since 2012.
The actress was arrested for reportedly attacking Peters in a Montreal hotel last July.
A law enforcement source confirmed to PEOPLE that there was a dispute between a couple in Montreal on the reported date, and that a female was arrested, but declined to state the names of those involved because prosecutors decided not to press charges and the case had been closed.
The couple issued the following statement to PEOPLE addressing the disturbance.
"It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding," said the statement from their reps. "Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."
Roberts, who is the niece of Julia Roberts, previously dated Glee's Chord Overstreet.
