Is Billy Ray Cyrus taking career cues from Miley? Just months after her hip hop makeover launched her to new heights of superstardom, her dad has announced he’s going to make the move from country to the club — with a hip hop remix of “Achy Breaky Heart.” And RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal, he’s already casting hot young video vixens for the music video!

When talk show host Larry King first broke the news on December 31, it seemed like it could be a joke. “Just spoke with @Billyraycyrus on the phone,” King tweeted. “He’s recorded a hip hop version of ‘Achy Breaky Heart.’ He’s excited about it and so am I!”

But nearly 22 years after the original version of the song topped the charts, Radar has learned, the hip hop remix is 100% a go. In fact, casting directors are already hitting up video vixens to star in the music video.

One L.A. model, who has starred in videos for urban artists including Chris Brown, tells Radar that the shoot will take place in the Los Angeles area by the end of the month.

As for the single, no word on when it will be released.

Are you excited to hear Billy Ray’s new sound or do you think it’s a desperate attempt to revive his career?

Bit of trivia for you...before Billy Ray got his mitts on the song, this is the first recorded version:

It's even more cringe-worthy when you read the lyrics...Hickory Dickory Dock seems like Shakespeare in comparison.

"Achy Breaky Heart"
Written by Don Von Tress
Performed by Billy Ray Cyrus

You can tell the world you never was my girl
You can burn my clothes when I am gone
Or you can tell your friends just what a fool I've been
And laugh and joke about me on the phone

You can tell my arms to go back to the farm
You can tell my feet to hit the floor
Or you can tell my lips to tell my fingertips
They won't be reaching out for you no more

CHORUS

But don't tell my heart
My achy breaky heart
I just don't think he'd understand
And if you tell my heart
My achy breaky heart
He might blow up and kill this man

You can tell your ma I moved to Arkansas
You can tell your dog to bite my leg
Or tell your brother Cliff, whose fist can tell my lip
He never really liked me anyway

Or tell your aunt Louise, tell anything you please
Myself already knows I'm not OK
Or you can tell my eye to watch out for my mind
It might be walkin' out on me today

CHORUS (Repeat 3X)
