A Hollywood mom has been arrested on charges of taking her 15-year-old daughter to New York to pimp her out to Super Bowl fans, New York police say.

"We came up here to work and make money with a pimp," the mother told detectives, according to court records. "I knew it was for escorting and prostitution. I thought my daughter was just going to do the fetish stuff."

The teen agreed to have sex with a man for $200, court records show. He turned out to be an undercover cop.

Police identified the mother as Yolanda Ostoloza, 39, of Hollywood, but her Facebook page and other public records list her name as Yolanda Ostolaza.

Detectives arrested Ostolaza on Wednesday at 2:15 a.m. inside the DoubleTree hotel on Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York Police Lt. Karen Anderson said.

The New York District Attorney's Office has charged Ostolaza with endangering the welfare of a child under 17, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail.

She's now in a women's jail on Rikers Island. Her daughter was turned over to New York social workers.

Undercover detectives pretending to be johns looking for sex found the teen through an online ad and arranged to meet her shortly after midnight Wednesday at Midtown's New York Hilton, according to the New York Daily News.

Before detectives handcuffed her, she told them she was only 15 and her mom was waiting for her at another hotel, the paper reported.

Detectives then tracked down Ostolaza and arrested her at the DoubleTree.

According to Ostolaza's Facebook page, she was born in New Jersey in 1974 and has two daughters. She has lived in Paterson, N.J.; Worcester, Mass.; and Palm Bay, near Melbourne in Brevard County.

New York police say her current address is in Hollywood in the 2700 block of Pierce Street.

Neighbor Daisy Ferralaes said Ostolaza had moved into the apartment two doors down about six months ago. Ferralaes would often see her with two younger girls, but wasn't sure whether they were her daughters.

"I'm surprised, definitely," she said.

Gilbert Aulet, a New York native whose friends live in the 18-unit building, couldn't believe it either.

"She's only 15?" he said. "That's crazy."

A judge has set Ostolaza's bail at $2,000. Her next court date is Monday, the day after the Super Bowl.

If she makes bail, a New York judge would have to decide whether to allow her to return to Florida while she awaits trial, said Bob Jarvis, a law professor at Nova Southeastern University.

"It depends on the conditions of her bail and whether she is considered a flight risk," he said.

Because her daughter is a minor, she might be released to the custody of a relative, Jarvis said. If not, she would likely wind up in the care of the state of Florida, he said.
