Paula Osuna injured her foot after falling down the stairs of her New Mexico home last week, causing painful bruising on her toe.
Eventually, in a bid to heal the scar, she asked her fiancé to rub some dirt he brought back from the nearby holy Chimayo Catholic shrine.
And after putting the sacred dirt on her foot and then bandaging it, she told KRQE the bruise formed the shape of Jesus on her second toe.
‘My family has always done the pilgrimages to Chimayo but this is the first time I ever used it and I’m seeing something kind of come out full circle I guess,’ she said.
Osuna says the bruise has since changed shape, but she says she’s convinced of the holy sighting.
