An ex-con stopped in Manhattan because his minivan’s brake lights were out was busted on drug charges when cops found more than 500 bags of crack and heroin in the vehicle, police said.
Lorenzo Beamon, 58, of Brooklyn, who has served prison time for drug possession and robbery, was pulled over about 7 p.m. Tuesday at Houston and Pitt Sts.
Police said they found some of the bags and $2,000 cash on the floor behind the front passenger seat of his Dodge Caravan. A second search of the vehicle at the 7th Precinct turned up the rest of the drugs, cops said. Beamon was charged with drug possession.
