PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - A semi-professional wrestler was arrested Monday for threatening a police officer on Facebook, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.

Bruce Allen Santee II, 35, who police say goes by the wrestling name “The Marquee,” wrote a post offering $100 to anyone who would kill an officer who stopped a vehicle he rode in early Sunday morning, according to the agency.

The Pinellas Park officer pulled over a Ford Mustang that Santee rode in about 2:45 a.m. Sunday after its driver failed to obey a yield sign, police said. The driver, a woman, was taking Santee and another man home because they were intoxicated. The officer found the woman had an expired license and made the group arrange another ride home.

During the stop, police said, Santee argued with the officer, calling him a “pig.”

An off-duty officer with another agency contacted the Pinellas Park Police Department through its Facebook page after noticing Santee’s post. Police said Santee edited his original post but continued to criticize officers because of the stop.

Officers contacted Santee through a relative. He came to the agency about 3:30 p.m. Monday and was arrested.
