A Japanese plant worker has died in a freak accident after 13 tonnes of molten metal were tipped all over him.

Kazuki Tada, 23, was working on Saturday morning beneath a huge bucket containing an alloy that had been heated to around 1,300 degrees Celsius (2,400 Fahrenheit) at a manufacturing plant, Japan Today reported.

The bucket, which was suspended in mid air, overbalanced, pouring the molten metal on Tada, police said.

An investigation into the accident is under way in southwestern Japan, a local police spokesman said, according to the new agency AFP.

I'm sorry, but any time your job has you standing under 13 tons of molten metal, there's nothing 'freak accident' about it when it finds a way to kill you  I would nope the fuck out of that job so fast...

seriously...I'd say the skin immolates in flame first then all of the soft tissue, skin, tendons and muscle turn into liquid leaving only charred bones (which actually turn soft under extreme heat as well)

I've done some experiments at home 8-[
