Kelly Osbourne has been purple for years. Nicole Richie has been purple for days. Now Ireland Baldwin has joined the lavender locks club, making us wonder if we should expect a tidal wave of violet-hued stars to hit the streets of Hollywood in the near future.
Baldwin, 18, a model and the daughter of Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin, previewed the new do change, posting a shot of her in the salon chair with the caption “What’s next.”

As it turns out, what was next was “purp,” as she shared below, though she covered her face with her newly technicolor do before the big reveal, above, which she captioned “I could get used to this.” (Though later, she confessed to having some sartorial difficulty, Tweeting “Purple hair and work out clothes really don’t go together … Like I may have to give up physical activity for my purple hair … Hair like this deserves combat boots and hobo-chic jeans.”)

As an up-and-coming model, we’re surprised that Baldwin would mess with her signature look, but we’re sort of loving the purple on her. Now we’re wondering who should go purple next: Taylor Swift? Jennifer Aniston? Channing Tatum?
