A 31-year old woman was arrested and charged with assault with the intent to maim on Monday after she bit part of her boyfriend's ear off during an argument.
The 36-year old victim told police that he was arguing with his girlfriend after she got back to their house in the 49000 block of Marseilles. When he tried to walk into a bedroom, she began to punch him in the face and head. He turned his back to her and she jumped onto his back and bit off a chunk of his ear.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment after medical personnel found the piece of his ear.
