It's never recovered because I've worked and walked on cement for 27 years = tends to shorten the hamstrings

I also have large quadricep development which makes me a candidate for hamstring problems...

As someone who's constantly called by people to set up technology (you work in computers, you must know how to set up my GPS/stereo/microwave/anything with DC power, right?) the best thing to do is to sit back and talk the person through it, and not do it for them. Otherwise you will be on speed-dial whenever the cable goes out, when it blinks 12:00, etc...

here's a cool piece of history we dug out - a 19.....oh shit, later 40s early 50s? A GE 4V color film camera. this was literally one of the first pieces of hardware that ever converted film to a video signal. this thing literally cost well over $500k back in that day.

V4 is for the 4 cameras, captured old style bnc video red green blue black, something like that. the mirror setup had color filters to split out the signal into its constituent parts and the rest of the tower of stuff....is the ultra rare part because usually people just tossed the rack and kept the cameras.

but basically how this went was a projector projected onto a certain screen and there was a tube that connected to the front, calibrated for distance and such, the image comes through the mirror setup, cameras, etc. almost every show people watched from the early 60s to the early mid 70s were piped through something like this. (it was late 50s early 60s this came out, price correction quarter of a mil)

big yed kept all kinds of shit....almost enough stuff that he was relatively close to building his own fuggin tv station :lol: like UHF style. but eventually he wound up being the only one left trying and the projects fell apart over the years, now we have tons of old stuff like this hanging around and trying to figure out how best to use or part with it.

We've had a fake one for years. This year my sister and brother were here, along with my Dad so we made a family evening and put up the tree and decorations for Dad. It's the type with color coded branches corresponding to holes and most of the colors have worn off..

So my sister and brother are having these Mensa moments trying to determine what color is on the tiny end of the branches, while I tell me Dad on the side that there's 6 branches in every size category and proceed to get the thing assembled in like 5 minutes just looking at sizes :lol:

Converters...a box that lets the TV read a digital signal.

As opposed to just putting a coaxial or old RF cable into the TV for basic, over the air channels. (antennae or tuner within the TV reads these..)

So I spent the last 4 hours creating a SQL job (and a few days researching) that will auto email all of our drivers, scans of the Bill of ladings (BOL - documents on the freight they pickup) so they wont need to make copies on our copy machine anymore. Roughly 8800 BOL's a month. Our copiers are constantly breaking down due to overuse so I feel this is a great way to elevate that. Management agrees. Send them the finished product, they say "there must have been a mis-communication, the drivers dont need this" :facepalm:
