Roadside Assistance on most insurance policies is relatively cheap. I think it's less than $25 per year on my policy. Maybe around $15 per year or so. They'll tow to the nearest mechanic shop, jump a dead battery, "unlock" your car if you lock the keys in it. I think they'll repair a flat, or change the tire with whatever you have in the trunk (donut), but they won't replace the tire with a new one.

We have AAA down here which has varying tiers starting @ $66 per year. They do everything the roadside assistance does, but they have additional perks, but you have to be honest with yourself about whether or not you actually will use them.

I downloaded an mp3 song off of a credit they gave me for buying a book not too long ago and had no problems whatsoever.

Download your mp3s from Amazon to your computer by checking the box next to the song and hitting the download button. You can name your desktop as your device. They called my desktop "device" 'Eddie's Windows' or something like that. Also, you can delete the tag metadata from the mp3 in current versions of Winamp by removing the Id3v1 and Id3v2 tags in file info when right clicking on the song ('View File Info') in the Winamp playlist. Once you do that you can move the song all you want to whatever device via usb cable or however you get it from your computer to your device.

I don't use Windows Media Player because, well, it sucks. I think the issue may be more with MS's WMP, tbh.

I did get to find out that my alcohol tolerance has gone down to almost nil over the weekend. :lol: One of my best mates that I haven't seen for a long time called me up of Friday and wanted to get together and do something over the weekend. They discovered a security breach where a bunch of customers' data had been stolen from their IT department back in December and estimate that the breach had been going on for weeks. They didn't encrypt anything so basically everybody that has held or is currently holding a policy with BCBS is screwed.

That's what really kills me. It's supposed to be illegal for anyone to use SS#'s except for the Social Security Administration. The government came down on university systems hard for using the SS#'s as student id numbers a while back like in '99 or so. It's ridiculous.

Its a treasure trove, full names, everyone covered on your insurance plan names, SS#, addresses of wherever you have lived. Not necessarily banking and CC info, but plenty to start issuing fake CC and opening accounts.

According to the info I got from them, no medical records. Name, birth date, home address, work info, phone number, SS#... all you need to wreak credit and financial havoc on a person for the rest of the victim's life.

Guess it s depends what your looking for, tons of big companies use MS. I get job postings all the time for .Net and MS SQL

6 weeks, 3-5 hours per week. They do language basics and OOP plus a special topic in 6 weeks. Prerequisites include loops, program flow control (which can be a pretty deceptive way of saying 'know everything'), and database concepts (which can get really ugly really fast). They're assuming you've programmed in some language before...

I know nothing about .Net, so I have no idea...

I hang on to C/C++ and Python. I have a vendetta against Java, mainly to do with the fact that it's a complete ripoff of C++ (Stroustrup should sue, but again, he didn't). Assembly is so machine specific, so unless you're really into controlling your processor and hardware on the lowest level, which there really is no reason to nowadays, then it's just a waste of time. You can use it to reverse engineer programs, but really, that kind of game's for kids.
