Technically you are entering into a legally binding transaction with whatever provider needs the fee...and for a contract to be legal, there must be an "offer" (eg it asks you do you want to pay the fee) and an "acceptance" (you pressing "y")

I agree that a counter sue against the bitch, her friend (hell, most lawyers would toss in the bingo hall and event coordinators just because it's their property) and any other non-party would be a great deal of fun, and some well deserved retribution. Defamation of character is insurance the hall would probably carry anyways. I'm wondering if your parent's lawyer has filed a dispute note? Why not include the counter claim? Usually filing for the two together is less than $100

Yeah's there's really two things going on....the actual physical height of the monitor and the resolutions.Like Fric mentions you measure monitors diagonally.

So you may be correct if you're comparing a 19 inch (square, old school, 16:10, whatever) against a new 24 inch monitor.The 24 inch widescreen may not have the height but I certainly can't see losing that much (1/2 inch maybe?) when going to widescreen.

The ratio is just how the picture is formatted on the screen....16:10 is more of a square picture, 16:9 is more like a movie screen.(4:3 was used for old TV signals and TV's)

RBP, you may have a 5:4 ratio monitor or I suspect a 4:3...trust me, it's a square picture at any of these including 16:10 :thumbsup:
How I know? Because I'm a gamer and 'square' ratios work way better than widescreen ratios for older games.

eg My game looks better at 1680 x 1050 resolution (16:10 ratio) than on a new widescreen 1920 x 1080 (16:9 ratio) monitor.

You could be losing some vertical height if your 19 incher is old enough....The only way to know is to measure your actual vertical screen space from inner bezel up and down, then go to a store with your tape measure and do the same on a 24 inch widescreen.You may lose enough vertical height not to want a widescreen.

In my case I went from 15, 17, 19, 22 and now 23, so I've seen some progressions....IMO the 23 is awesome and I will probably go for the same next time around :thumbsup:

they're not making many 4:3 or more correctly 16:10 ratio monitors anymore, so you're going to have to adapt at one point unfortunately.
They really shine when watching hd movies or TV shows because they're all made in widescreen ratio now.If you don't watch TV or movies
on your monitor, it's not that much of an issue...

as for my thoughts...I'm gonna have to take the kid to school, speed back to be in a telephone meeting to add another code I'll have to remember to order something.

I had it so simple...one code for all and a real-life person read the request and figured out from what I'd written who it went to...now I have to remember about 7 10-digit codes to order anything from India and usually because the numbers are similar, there are screw-ups galore.

You buy ticket (the kind on a roll like at the fair), you get one, the seller keeps one.
