I had an aftermarket Sony in my '97 Civic. Took me and a roommate about an hour to put it in. After the accident that destroyed the car, I recovered the stereo, it was fine. I went out and got the 06, absolutely determined to get that Sony in my new car. After pouring over the schematics for about 2 days, said the factory stereo would be absolutely fine.

I have a van that has 214k miles (can't sell it because no one believes it'll last), my car has about 135K on it's second engine, and I dealt in a 87 VW Fox that had 125K on it's original clutch.

It's all in how you look after the car....change the fluids regularly. Newer cars (those built in the 80's and up) are mostly built to last in comparison with my dad's era where 100K was the exception rather than the norm.

I deal with multitudes of courier companies at work.You don't drop electronics or any other packages on a doorstep in the snow or rain.You leave a door knocker card informing the consignee that a delivery was attempted, giving the choice of calling a contact number or coming to the depot for pickup yourself.UPS is infamous for this run and drop shit.Fedex is a better choice for exactly this reason.

If UPS ever does it again, try this - Step on the package on your doorstep, phone UPS and tell them the parcel was left and is damaged.Then, by law they will have to pay for and reship the exact item you ordered.I guarantee the replacement shipment will be handled in person :winkysmilie:
